Statistical analysis of UWB tag antenna Backscattering
Résumé
We describe the joint statistical characterization of the radiation and the impulse response (IR) of ultra wide band (UWB) antenna backscattering (BS), intended to be used in RFID tags, in the presence of electromagnetically disturbing close objects. From a database of measurements performed on a selection of UWB antennas and a set of plates with varying characteristics, we perform a statistical analysis of radiation patterns and impulse responses jointly. This analysis will be exploited towards the statistical modelling of the behaviour performance of UWB tag antennas operated in a modulated backscattering based RFID system under realistic use conditions.
