Channel modeling for backscattering based UWB tags in a RTLS system with multiple readers
Résumé
We consider a system of 4 Ultra Wide Band (UWB) readers, intended for the detection and localization of tags operating in backscattering. Although Line of Sight (LOS) propagation is the most significant propagation mechanism for the successful operation of the system, several detrimental effects must be taken into account in practice, as they very much impact the overall performance. In this work, we outline a global channel model for such a Real Time Location System (RTLS), encompassing tag on objects variability clutter backscattering and multi-readers interference.
